This is one of our favorite places. The Antipasto & Sammy roll with sauce on this vist were excellent. They also have great pizza, wings, lasagna and spaghetti parm.

The best Sicilian pizza sauce. La Bella Sicilia may not be the most glamorous-looking restaurant, but the food is amazing. Huge portions of pasta! But the best thing…the thing I’m addicted to….the thing I drive from Indianapolis to Buffalo for, is their deep dish Sicilian pizza. The cheese is so fresh and farm-like, as if it came from a freshly milked dairy cow….but the MOST AMAZING thing is the sauce on the deep dish Sicilian pizza….it’s tangy and sweet and addictive. As a pizza connoisseur, I can state wholeheartedly that it’s the best-tasting sauce I’ve ever encountered. Be sure not to confuse it with their regular NY style pizza, which is great but has a more typical type of sauce. The sauce I’m addicted to is that which is on La Bella’s deep dish Sicilian pizza. I would choose it as my last meal…it’s that amazing!

Yearly Tradition. Once a year we fly from Buffalo to Florida and because our flight is so early in the morning (we’re from the Toronto area) we always stay overnight the night before. Our tradition for the past 4 years (since our first try) is to eat at La Bella Sicilia on the Friday night. The place isn’t fancy but it’s always busy. The portions are HUGE but the food has always been outstanding. I always get the Eggplant Parmigiana – outstanding – big enough for 2 people. Everyone else usually orders pizza or a pasta dish. The service is hit and miss, not fine dining for sure, but the food is terrific. Looking forward to next year.

When we want fee good Italian, we like to eat here. It’s not the fanciest place, but I’ve never had a bad dinner. It’s an older place, and always has customers, so get there early.

The Food Baby. Have you ever heard that expression? It applies to a situation in which one eats so much, it appears as if they are pregnant. That is how I feel when I leave La Bella.First, bread comes out… Costanzo’s sub rolls. Be careful, or you will be full after you finish your salad. Now, they have half-portions (or kid sizes) of the pasta dishes, but I can’t discern the difference. This knowlege in mind, I ordered the chicken scallapini ala francese, two cutlets in a lemon sauce (~$13) to keep it light… and they were delicious.I have been to La Bella three times, each visit for dinner, and it has always been packed. However, the staff moves pretty well through a cramped space. Unless you go later in the evening, I’d expect some wait and a noisy restaurant.

We (all 8 of us) really loved La Bella. The tomato sauce was uber fresh. We really loved the antipasto salad. I had the sausage on the side of my ziti and it was AWESOME – fresh, sweet & tasted homemade. It isn’t fancy, puts on no airs, ain’t pretenious but oh was the food great!
