The Double Double (double cheese double pepperoni) was sent down to earth from some higher being. That’s the only way I can describe it. This is the pinnacle of Buffalo pizza.

Solid Neighborhood Pizzeria. Leonardi’s is what you want in a neighborhood pizza joint – when you walk in, you can smell the cooking dough, and see the guys working in the back, moving around pizzas and putting boxes up. A big Italian flag hangs on one wall. Yeah – that’s the good stuff. It just so happens that the pizza is delicious, to boot. When you talk about pizza – I think the most important place to start is with the dough. Leonardi’s dough is pretty average for what you’ll find in Buffalo – soft, crispy, almost buttery with a gorgeous char on the bottom that you can taste. It’s not the cracker-thin dough you’ll find in NYC. Buffalo pizza is a whole different animal. The sauce is next, and I was thoroughly impressed. The sauce wasn’t to sweet – it had slight sweetness tempered with a tang and I really tasted the tomatoes. The sauce didn’t sink into the crust and make it soggy. The toppings and cheese were both high quality – the mozzarella was good, and I think they might dust the top with some Parmesan cheese as well. The toppings I got, bacon, pepperoni and sausage, were all delicious and well-cooked, allowed to crisp up in the oven. The overall shape of the pizza was a bit different than what people will expect. These pizzas are handmade, and the perfect, cookie-cutter circles most people in the country expect out of pizza don’t exist. These pizzas tend to be oval-shaped, and cut into party-squares if you get the large – not slices. All in all, an excellent neighborhood pizzeria. Highly recommended.

Worst wings in Buffalo. I went to Leonardi’s for the first time on 2/8/13 and the wings were the worst ever! They should be ashamed of themselves in the city of the wings! The pizza was ok. Overall ok, I would not order again but I def would not order wings!

Best of the neighborhood. Although I’m not a big fan of what seems to be Buffalo style pizza (The dough/crust always seems bready, with no real character), I have found that Leonardi’s is the most to my liking of the joints in my neighborhod, topping the much revered Bocce’s on Bailey. I like Leonardi’s White Pizza which always comes with plenty of onions. Never had any problems with my orders. Worth a try.

Best Pizza Bar None. This pizza you don’t have to order double anything. They are very generous with the ingrediants. The sauce and dough are truly the best around. Many Many people have told me about them and I finally tried them because my cousin ordered one night… That was December 2009, I live in Elma and have orderd over 20 times since then… I get the pizzas 3/4 baked and heat in the over when I get home… Uhm it is sooooo good…
