Absolutely DREADFUL! Grease laden shrimp and lobster dip to start. Burger’s lacking flavor and the beef of questionable quality. Never again thankfully I did not order the porterhouse…can only imagine!
Filet was great, as was the chowder
Disappointed. A friend and I went to lunch because we had heard positive things …however our experience wasnt too great……We both ordered the seafood chowder and half sandwich ( shaved prime rib). Didnt find ONE piece of any seafood in the soup….lots of corn and potatoes. Sandwich consisted of ONE burnt slice of prime rib, and huge pieces of onion …..We did voice our opinions and got the entire lunch for free but will never try that item again…hopefully other items are a better choice.
My parents, wife, daughters and I went to Longhorn’s tonight for the first time. The service was very good and the food was excellent. We had the sirloin, flatiron steak, porkchops and the baby back ribs. Each of us were impressed with the quality and portion size of the food. We will be going again.
Not Bad For A Chain. Well, it seems like previous reviews might have done their job. Even though I’ve been looking forward to giving it a try I almost decided to skip it based on the view poor reviews of their service. I decided to give them a chance anyway and I am please I did. Our server was fantastic. You got the idea that the wait staff got in trouble recently because she bordered on overly-attentive. Still she was extremely polite and we never had to wait more than a few minutes for her to cross by our table if we wanted or needed something. The food was decent. It is about what you would expect out of a chain. I ordered the salmon and sirloin combo and was pleased with what I got for my $25. The steak was a little bland and certainly not as good as some of the local restaurants but not terrible either. One thing I will say is that their children’s menu is excellent and very low priced. This simple fact will bring me back to them in the future: they make it very easy and affordable to eat out as a family. We paid roughly the same for our children’s meals as we would for a couple happy meals at McDonald’s and the kids loved it. If you have children under 8 and are looking for a restaurant experience without needing to take out a second mortgage to cover the bill, give Longhorn a try.
Not a fan!. My boyfriend and I first went to Longhorn about 2 weeks after it first opened. We got there around 2:30, so no wait time, in between lunch and dinner. Server greeted us promptly and had our drinks and appetizer out very timely. My boyfriend had the Braised BBQ Beef Sandwich which he still raves about. I ordered the Rancher’s Sirloin Medium. Our food took about 45 minutes to come out. Our server didnt stop back once during that time to assure us that our food was coming or refill our drinks. When the food finally came out, cut in my steak to find it rare, swimming in a pool of butter. No one ever came back to see how our meal was. I vowed to never return, but we did. We figured the restaurant worked out its kinks due to it being brand new. I cant say enough about most of the meal, but when it came down to it, my steak came out rare again but was quickly corrected. The calamari appetizer was yummy and if you haven’t had their mac and cheese its a must try. Even my shrimp were awesome. But all in all, def disappointed in their steaks, and for $68 for two people, we will go elsewhere.
Lunch was better than dinner. Went to lunch and enjoyed the salad and sandwich special. The ginger lemonade was very good, but I like ginger. Went back a couple of weeks later for dinner. Arrived around 5 and didn’t have to wait for a seat. The chips and dip app were very good. The steaks were served with charred bacon and topped with a perfectly down sunny-side up egg. The steak…well I wasn’t impressed. I even questioned the cut – it didn’t look correct and I have my doubts. The meat was salted a little too much but it was ok. As I mentioned the bacon was horrible. The veggies and sweet potato bites were however very good.
