Endangered. Sadly, Max’s are disappearing… there used to be one by UB, Dingens closed a couple years ago (where my mug used to hang), and then the one on the Boulevard. However, the airport location seems to be going strong. Good place for half-price appetizers (after 4pm). Love their hand-cut fries, but the real treat is Mile High Mint Chocolate Pie. Yummy!
Inedible!. We tried the tuna melt, meatloaf sandwich and sweet potato fries. The sandwiches were greasy and the fries limp. I don’t recommend this even for a quick meal!
Large Portions!. Now I know, who wants to eat in a hotel restaurant, right? Don’t drive by Max’s on Genesee Street (located adjacent to the Holiday Inn) anymore. Stop in, you just might like it.When I’m sick, the chicken noodle soup hits the spot every time! Big Noodles and lotz of white meat. It’s one of my favorites at Max’s. I would suggest trying any of the burgers, the greek wrap or the Buffalo wrap. All are served with hand cut fries and your choice of beans or slaw (eat the beans!)There is happy hours during the week and 1/2 priced appetizer specials every day as well. The place is kid friendly as well!
Do not eat here. Food is ok at best. The waitress sat at our table while taking our orders and missed an order. She also mentioned that all you can ribs were 10.99. All of us were interested and went for it, when we got the bill, it came up to 20.99. When we questioned her, she denied any of it. On top of that, she added a 17% gratuity. Will never ever recommend this place.
