Poor Service. Upon considering my post of last evening I suppose the easiest solution to my problem would have been to accept the malt being prepared for the other party. And, yes, I agree. Except there was no other malt being prepared. There were none on any of the other mixers.14 Apr, 2014Poorr service. On a warm evening in Western NY there is no better place to go than Charlaps. My wife and I just returned from there and I am very disappointed. There were too few employees working for the crowd that was there but anticipating the delacacy of what awaited me I was willing to wait. After 50 minutes I was able to place my order. Doing as the signd direct I placed an order for a Jumbo chocolate malt with no syrup in it. As they put that together I also placed an order for three scoops of Maple Walnut in a cone. I then moved to the cash register area and paid for my order. As I stood there watching my malt being stirred up on the machine I warched to be sure I would get it as soon as it was finished. I was now working on 1 hour and 5 minutes as I watched the girl place another cup around the one she cut a hole in, wash it off and the walk over to the area where orders were taken and give my jumbo malt to someone standing there. As I stood there in disbelief I explained that they had given my malt to someone who had just ordered. By this time my maple walnut cone is dripping all over my hand and I just wanted to get out of there. It took me three requests to get my money for the malt returned. All they wanted to do was make me another one. After an hour and 5 minutes I was in no mood to wait another 15 minutes for a malt. I finally explained that all I wanted was my money back before I became more pd than I already was. That seemed to do the trick and my money for the malt was returned and a very dissatisfied customer left your store.Dave Horton, North Collins, NY

Seriously…Dole Whips?. My favorite treat at Disneyland and WDW is their amazing Dole Whip (a pineapple soft serve). As far as I knew, the only other place to get this tasty treat is the Dole Plantation on O’ahu. Imagine my surprise when at the Taste of Buffalo I walk past the Nick Charlap’s Ice Cream booth and see DOLE WHIP on the sign. It was all the creamy deliciousness that I love from Disney! Not sure if they serve this in store or not, but any ice cream place that has Dole Whips is all right by me! Headed to the Hamburg Burger Fest today and crossing my fingers they have Dole Whips today!

Great ice cream. They just started making their own ice cream again and its wonderful. just had their brownie sundae which was amazing (the brownie was huge). there cheese curds are also famous. buffaloeats.org
