My boyfriend and I usually always order from red pepper, unfortunately they’re closed Mondays So we decided to order from this place. Worst mistake. I had trouble finding the place no lights in this plaza, trash all over the place in the parking lot, the only lighting was the bar at the end that was terribly lit up, looked like a sketchy strip club. So I went in and grabbed our food and it just reminded me of an authentic chinese restaurant but this food was horrible, I ordered ma po tofu and he got sweet and sour chicken. His was disgusting ( looks, taste and smell) and mine looked normal at first until I put it on a plate and actually saw it. It looked like there was liver and this other stuff that resembled tonsil stones, along with the normal tofu and everything else, that’s a huge turn off and it tasted horribly. If you want good chinese/Vietnamese food order from red pepper on maple, not from this place.
Disappointment. Quick one used to be my most frequent chinese restaurant in Buffalo. However i haven’t been back there for a long time due to my busy schedule. I have heard some bad reviews from my friends a while back but didn’t get the chance to go back to try it out. Thus I decided to visit this place today to test it out satisfy my craving but I was really disappointed. The price of the food increase by at least $1, the portion is smaller than last time, and the food taste more horrible than last time. My friends and i couldn’t even finish the seaweed egg drop soup that we ordered. Double cooked pork came in very little amount and charged us almost $10 for it, to make things worse, most of it are just fats. My friends and i will not go back to the restaurant anymore.
Great food. When it comes to Chinese food I’ve never ventured into too many dishes…but Peking Quick One makes be want to be brave! I walked in expecting to place my order and sit around in your typical empty takeout place. Not so – the small dining area was packed with people who have already figure out what a great place this is and were dining in. I started safe with the steamed pork leak and shrimp dumplings and can’t wait to go back and try something new.
Great food. They have an American menu and a home style menu. I’ve liked everything I’ve tried there. I would definitely recommend.
Very good food. Two menus, one traditional Chinese menu, and a Home Style Chinese menu. Other customers were ordering from the Home Style menu. Their food looked very good. Next time I will try the Home Style!
Best Chinese in the area! Glad they were able to re-open so quickly after the fire!
