Disgusting! The plates were dirty. When two separate employees were notified they acted annoyed and said the plates had just come from the dishwasher. They were wet and had bits of food and grease on several. I would have left but my MIL had arranged family to meet for brunch. The food was cold or lukewarm. If they were giving away free food and I was starving I would still not eat here! This was the Harlem road location.
I go here for the food first service second. The food is amazing and always reminds me of my great grandmother. The service is what some might seem aggressive or perhaps acerbic. I see it as authentic and interesting. The staff is really friendly but it may not seem that way. Especially if you aren’t used to very direct interactions or have a thin skin. I suggest everyone go for the food and take in the atmosphere and relax and have fun.
