7/14/15 My hubby and I went in tonight for dinner. We had heard some good things about it and like to support local businesses. When we walked in the door there were only 4 other diners at 2 tables. There was no one to seat us so I was a little concerned that we may get overlooked. About ten minutes after we seated ourselves we were given menus and our drink order was taken. No alcohol so maybe that.s it took another 10 minuted for water and a Pepsi. Sshe did finally take our order but by this time, things were not looking good for us, a table of 8, 2 tables of 6 and several more smaller 2-4 parties arrived while we were waiting for our soup. 10 or so minutes later the soup came and it was eh! at best. By this time we needed refills on our drinks, Meals still nowhere in sight, HOWEVER, several of the tables what came in WELL after us were getting their appetizers AND meals. Finally got our drink refills and they were wrong. How difficult is it to remember water and a Pepsi? Drinks were gone, still no meal NOR even a Manager to stop by to apologize. Needless to say, I have no idea how the food was because after an hour we got up and left. A simple apology along with a valid explanation would have been welcomed but not offered.I give the 2.5 rating on the cleanliness and simple decor (no TV’s in the dining area is worth a 5) andI give the service a 1. We MAY try again as the food that we saw being served all around us looked very good, fresh and plentiful.
4/3/14 went to dinner with a friend and the food was exceptional I had beef tenderloin she had butterfish The owners , two brothers, were extremely friendly and gracious, the service was exceptional The interior is tasteful and beautiful don’t let outside fool youHave been to many higher priced establishments that couldn’t compare to the dinner we had for the price we paidWould highly recommend!!!!!Would highly recommend
Best Restaurant. We are on our way there for the 3rd week in a row. It is the best food I have had in a long time. The mussel appetizer is to die for and the panko breaded fish fry is the best in Buffalo. I have recommended this restaurant to all my friends.
Dinner. My husband and i decided to try the rust belt ,we were very pleased ! big difference inside ,now the outside needs a little work . as far as food we had a fish fry they were also very good , macaroni salad needs a adjustment though, that was one thing i did not care for . i am making reservation for 12 today for a little retirement party and i hope my friends will also enjoy the rust belt .
This place is by far the best dining experience I’ve had in the Buffalo area hands down. The food is absolutely fantastic! The staff is very polite and courteous, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of spectacular. I will definitely be coming back to this establishment for years to come! The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service they provide for you. A must stop for anyone who is in the Buffalo area.
Fantastic. We ate at the Rust Belt a few weeks ago and enjoyed the meal, so we decided to go back with two other couples tonight, however after reading some of the recent negative reviews we were concerned about going back but we decided to give it a try. We called for reservations and when we got there our table was waiting for us, our waiter (James) was there in minutes with our water and took our drink orders and shortly after getting our drinks James took our food order, he was very professional and knew the menu very well, he also was very personable and made us laugh. We had a great time and enjoyed the food very much, we highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to go back.
Horrible service. It sounds like the other reviews on here. There were 4 of us and we try different restaurants monthlyThis is one that we will not be returning. The fish dinner was one of the entrees ordered, half the fish was cooked and the other half was raw. Strip steak was also ordered and the four of us never seen strip steak like that before. We even asked the waitress if this really was a strip steak and she said she would check with the chef. She never returned with an answer. We paid our bill and were about to leave and we mentioned the raw fish and we were given half our money back. Service was also very, very slow.
