Only good for sushi. DON’T get the Pad Thai.. I have loved every meal I’ve ever had at the Sake Caf, until today. I ordered the Pad Thai for lunch. Yuck! As soon as I opened the container I could smell there was something wrong and that this was not Pad Thai. Unfortunately, I was right. There was something with tomato the dish. It was very lightly coated, but you could absolutely tell from the smell and taste. I was so very disappointed. That peanut-y delicious flavor I had been looking forward to was replaced by an inedible tomato tanginess that somewhat resembled Campbell’s soup. There were chopped white onions in the dish, not shallots. There were no brussel sprouts. The reason why they are still getting three stars is because all of their other dishes that I have had are phenomenal with the exception of this one. I understand that this is Japanese fusion and that you go to Sake Caf mostly for their sushi. I get that, and I have had their sushi and it is incredible. But I personally feel, that as one of the few alternate options available to people, this should be much improved. Not only that, but this is probably the most popular Thai dish on the planet and is a staple in any Thai or Fusion restaurant. There should never be a mediocre Pad Thai. So, from now on I will continue to go to Jasmine when I am craving that peanut-y, noodle-y deliciousness, and go to Sake Caf exclusively for sushi.
Wonderful Food and Delightful Service. Absolutely a go-to place. The food was great on my visit, and the staff was very attentive.Beats the heck out of PF Changs, Olive Garden, Chili’s, et al.Prices were on par with other restaurants in this high price corridor (I hear the landlord gouges on rent, and that is a believable rumour).
Love love love Sake Cafe. The food is excellent and the staff is so friendly. Reasonable prices too. We eat there at least once a month. Never had a bad meal there.
Great, if pricey, sushi. We really enjoyed our meal here, although it was too expensive to indulge regularly. If they streamlined their menu to cut costs and reduced prices, I would be a regular.
Love it!! White tuna so good!! And the plum sake margarita is killer!
Unique decor, and well presented rolls. Love going here every time with friends. They love to decorate the sushi make it look nice with the extra garmets and sauce on the place.Desserts are also decorated nicely.Love the dream roll and angel roll.I often go to lunch and get the lunch special. The inside is quite colorful and has a nice feel to eatting. It also has wifi for people who wanna check e-mail or something while waiting.
