We have eaten at Samurai on several occasions. Usually for sushi but more recently we tried the newer hibachi. We were pleasantly surprised. The food quality was great and service was timely. Clean new accommodations. Chef was skillful and fun without being obnoxious. Overall excellent experience. I also ordered the sushi/sashimi dinner. It was very fresh and flavorful! Samurai is one of our top favorites in buffalo.
Best Area Japanese. We always feel at home here, and we have an excellent meal every time. We typically go there for lunch on Fridays once or twice a month, trying new things and enjoying them. I always have some sashimi which is consistently very fresh and tasty. Their lobster bisque is a real treat and unique. It’s always a joy to patronize this restaurant.

Excellent Sushi!. I was so excited to Find Samurai less than 5 minutes from my office after moving to the area. Samurai has a creative sushi with many rolls to choose from. Perhaps my favorite part of the menu are the lunch specials. 2 rolls with soup or salad for under $7 (or 3 rolls for $10)? It is hard to find sushi for that price anywhere, much less quality sushi.Crunchy spicy tuna is easily my favorite roll and I often find myself ordering 2 of them with my lunch. Off of the Maki roll menu, you can’t go wrong with the Red Head Roll, Crazy Love Roll or Bennihana Roll. Also, the staff is always very friendly. I alternate between take out and dine in and have yet to have a bad experience in the restaurant or over the phone.
Great food, fast service. Delivery is available for late-night orders; extremely reliable for those unexpected cravings! The miso soup is always warm when delivered, and the salad is amazing with the included dressing on top. I strongly recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves fast and reliable delivery. Thank you.
My boyfriend and I have been here 3 times, i’ve had the sushi bento box, tempura chicken, and several types of sushi. The sushi is good but the cooked food is pretty bland. We have brought my brother here twice, they were so good with him! Even the sushi chefs were laughing as he tried to use chopsticks, luckily the server brought out kid friendly ones, he was so excited! Then we ordered tempura ice cream which we discovered had alcohal on it, my brother was upset and they immediately brought him a bowl of ice cream. If u want to introduce ur kids to japanese food this is the place!
Great qualitity, authentic japanese food. I started off by ordering the Ika, which was a grilled squid. It it was tender and perfectly cooked. The spicy dipping sauce it came with complemented its smoky char very well.If squid isn’t your thing, their is an extensive selection of sushi on the menu. I ordered the rainbow roll. This was a selection of fresh fish layed on top of 10 california rolls. It was very fresh and had a wonderful presentation.I finished my meal with an order of their green tea ice cream. It was creamy, and the soft texture of the ice cream went well with the flavour of the green tea.Overall, Samurai offers, what is in my opinion, one of the most authentic experiences in Japanese cuisine in the area. The quality of the sushi puts it on par with the restaurants in Toronto and NYC. And if you do not feel like driving, they offer delivery, which is only $0.75 per item, and can be done online at allmenus.com.
