How anyone can like this place is beyond me. It was right down the street and so convenient but I refused to ever eat there again. Their spicy crunchy rolls are absolutely horrid. They taste like the tempura was made with an overload of sugar. Sushi isn’t supposed to be sweet!! I would only recommend their vegetable rolls. But how hard is it to get a vegetable roll right
Inconsistent. Girl behind the counter is always very pleasant and welcoming. The sushi is very inconsistent, though. Usually, it’s great. On occasion, the rice will be hot, making your raw tuna roll warm. Gross. The service is rather slow, too. Much better than Koi, a neighboring sushi restaurant.
The best sushi I have had since my trip to toronto
Lovely. I go there a few times a week for their lunch specials that come with a miso soup. they are extremely friendly and want to prepare your food the way its supposed to be prepared. The chef isn’t lazy like in a few other sushi places (I’m not going to slander) and takes his time preparing your food the way it should be. The sushi is addicting, the prices are MORE than fair!! By the way you can eat in, it’s not just take out. My only complaint is the wasabi, it could be a little less generic and more spicy. The wasabi you get at wegmans is much better quality but overall I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a healthy lunch served by very friendly people. PS: I stopped drinking my post-lunch coffee when I have their miso soup!! It gives you sort of a buzz, great stuff!!
Good place for quick sushi lunch. A good small sushi place for lunch, did not try having dinner yet.
Quality Takeout Sushi. Williamsville gets takeout only sushi.. and it’s great! I ate there with the kid I babysit, who happens to be quite the sushi connoisseur and we both loved it. You order and pay right away then can get it to go (obviously) but they also have a sitting area for those who choose to eat in. The prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality (10% off if you show your UB id). Onto the food, everything is very fresh and well prepared. Even their rice is better then most places. We got the sushi spicy Maki and all three rolls were awesome. As for the owner and his wife, they are both extremely sweet. Also important to note, they’re right from Japan which explains some of the interesting authentic choices on the menu that you wouldn’t necessarily find elsewhere. I’ll have to go back and look into those!
Great sushi for great price. I saw the ad for this sushi place in the school newspaper and decided to give it a shot. My wife and I are from California, and enjoy only the freshest fish, and this place did not disappoint. The options were excellent, and everything tasted good. If you go to the website, you can get a 10% off coupon. If you are a student of University at Buffalo, you can get the same discount just by showing your student ID. I highly recommend.
