This and golden duck (also on maple rd) are the two best chinese food restaurants in buffalo. Everything I get on the menu is excellent, but it’s hard not to order the general tsos because it’s the best I’ve ever had. Atmosphere is excellent and price is very reasonable.
BEST CHINESE IN AMHERST/WILLIAMSVILLE/BUFFALO. I have tried every Chinese restaurant in the Amherst/Williamsville area, and this is by far THE BEST. If you want Americanized Chinese food (and that’s what most people are looking for), this is the place for you. Great fried rice, and crispy white meat General Tso’s. I have not had better. What’s more, it’s a very nice sit-down atmosphere, and they won’t rush you out like other Chinese places. My only complaint is there isn’t a dinner combo option that includes fried rice, so if you want fried rice with your meal you have to purchase it for an additional $8 along with your entree. But the lunch menu is a great value (usually totaling under $6 for takeout). Red Pepper gets a lot of credit around here, and that is an above-average Chinese place. But I think Eastern Pearl surpasses it. Try it out.
