Inconsistent. I’ve only been here twice, the first time we ordered breakfast items and everything was good. Service was friendly and quick. Nice little space for breakfast I thought. Second time we had lunch and breakfast items and it wasn’t very good. The fries were terrible in my opinion, kind of like Burger King’s. Cuban sandwich wasn’t too great either, and the home fries were way under cooked. I’ll probably give this place a couple more shots but as of now kind of up in the air on how good it is here.

Wonderful Soup & More. I was driving on Kenmore Avenue when a new sign caught my eye. When my cousin asked me out to lunch to a place I wanted to try I said let’s try The Howling Rooster. It turned out to be a birthday treat. We were going to try Chicken Wing soup, but they were out. When the waitress told us what was available the three of us said Lemon Chicken Rice soup please! It was wonderful (one of the best I have had) and we ordered it on our second visit too. Two of us ordered lunches and one ordered breakfast. The breakfast was a simple one of eggs, sausage and toast. I had a ruben sandwich which tasted fresh and great, my cousin ordered a pattie melt which she liked so much she ordered it on the second visit too. You can choose among a few sides and we had macaroni salad. On my second visit I had a tasty Giro wrap with tzatziki sauce (or you can have feta cheese instead) and chose Greek pasta salad as my side. For dessert my cousin ordered cherry pie and I had apple pie, both were good. The restaurant is small, but fits a good number of tables in without overcrowding. The chairs are very comfortable. Specials are listed on the chalkboard wall. The restaurant is nicely decorated with roosters. We are becoming regulars at this new restaurant.

Wonderful little place! The servers are friendly, it’s small and welcoming, and the food was great (and not too greasy). A nice diner that we will definitely be returning to.
