Great food and friendly service. Soup and salad bar available, as well as a lottery ticket machine. The specials are usually great and the food will get to you quickly. Drinks and food are reasonably priced. Family owned and operated. Clean kitchen and bathrooms.

They close way too early (10pm) on a Friday and the chef leaves even earlier (9pm). The servers swear while talking loudly. But if u get Christina she is very nice and attentive and helpful. The food is delicious.

Awful, tasteless, greasy and booooring.. Food is not fresh. tastes like it has been sitting all day, reheated and greasy. There is a small 1950′ salad bar that looks like it has been there 60 years, soggy old pre made salads like you can buy bagged if you are lazy at a grocery, not worth eating, belueve me. Okay if you want iceberg lettuce with a few shaved carrot and cabbage strips, and thousand Island from ketchup, mayonnaise, and relish or like three bean salad. I do not.Dinner was the worst, with gummy Italian Wedding Soup, and greasy, greasy fried haddock. My friend and er teen age sons think it is great, but also hated the soup and salad bar. They like fish sticks and pizza.I ad eaten a Town Cafe when mved to GI 6 years ago. I never went back, it was bad then, worse now. My boyfriend ordered the Strp Steak Dinner; I had the steak sandwich. His was twice the price, both came wit the awful salad but steaks came from the same meat package, and were the same size.however, mine came with mediocre bread. Servver could nor tell me why the sandwich was a better deal than the steak, though they were both tasteless and greasy then.

Awful. This restaurant is a disgrace. I came here once with my friend and her daughter and let me tell you the food I was served was disgusting. School cafeterias serve better stuff than the slop I was given; turkey on wonderbread with salty sauce, that was apparently suppose to be gravy. Neither one of us ate more than a couple of bites, it was that terrible. The waitress, God bless her, was so nice and friendly I feel bad that she has to work in such a dump.

Best Pizza on Grand Island. And it’s one of the most reasonably priced!19 Apr, 2012Great fish fry. We go to the Town often for the fish fry. Their breaded fish is the best. If you go there you’ll notice that it’s a family place and a lot of the patrons come there often enough that the waitresses and the manager, Lynn, know their names.Try it!

Fresh and Delicious. http://www.town-cafe.com/http://www.town-cafe.com/menu-4-08.pdf Town Cafe, located in the heart of Grand Island, is a pleasant place for lunch or dinner. Except for Monday when they are closed, otherwise they are open all week. The interior is clean, nicely lit where it is not too dark and with a comfortable setting. Service is friendly and fast. We opted for the booth instead of table. Rest rooms are also clean, at least the women’s side as reported to me. I selected the Baked Haddock and my wife ordered the Ziti Parmesan. Upon waiting for the food to be made we had a salad (open salad bar and they also have a regular bar inside), which is part of the meals. The food was hot and ready to go. No complaints about the fish and the ziti was reported to have a good sauce though not overly lathered with parmigiana cheese as one would get at some Italian restaurants. Well, I ate the whole thing, but that is my fault for not knowing when to stop. Eventually I will have to try lunch items to provide additional opinions and thoughts. My stomach is stretched to the extreme, so this will be another time and edit to this review.Whether you come for the food or the bar, take it easy and get away from the same old chain restaurant. When visiting Niagara Falls or the Fantasy Island amusement park give this place a try.Rating (4/5 spoons)EDIT (11-1-2010): Tried several different lunch items from the subs to the turkey with gravy combo. The turkey was great and had that with mashed potatoes. The chicken finger sub is a bargain and nicely made … try it with the french fries on the side. The portions are just right for lunch and not enough to knock you out for the afternoon.
