Yeah not worth the time or MONEY. I understand that the description shows $$$$ but for that I would expect at least a meal. The four of us (one is a child) went there for lunch and it cost us $80.00 before tip and with only water to drink. For the cost we should have been full but were not at all and we are now off to find something else to eat. The dim sum dumplings were over cooked, small, and you get 4 for $7.00. The $15.00 burgers were edible but nothing special and worth $10.00 at the high end. The service was no better even though there was almost nobody in the restaurant. Great location, eh food, high prices and terrible service. Wouldn’t send anybody there even if I didn’t like them.
Excllent. In a lovely seaside town such as Green slot, most eating locations have the frequent formulas of oysters, crab, fish 5 different ways and good Long Region wines. Scrimshaw take those frequent fish formulas, as well as some not from the sea, and leads to an Asian glimmer. Instead of the frequent combination gravy for oysters, there’s a pleasing Asian Mignonette gravy for losing.
Second time around – and the steak is still overcooked and 25 minutes for them to redo the food. And please don’t tell me at the beginning of a holiday weekend that your cappuccino machine is broken. Second visit was heartily disappointing.15 Aug, 2010An Evening’s Delight.. If you are there in the warmer months you can’t beat a table out on the pier. The menu had some tasty offerings with interesting flavours, the service was prompt and attentive and although there were a couple of minor issues, like a cheese plate that arrived after the coffee was finished or a rather over cooked steak, the dining experience was on the whole a very relaxing a pleasant one. A welcome change from Long Island’s usual humdrum offerings.
Food was so-so but waitstaff was horrendous!!!! Bus kids were good though.
Fantastic food and place
