Good food. Based on internet reviews we came here for my daughter’s birthday for breakfast, and it is certainly not fancy inside. That said the food was super good, my egg was cooked perfectly, as was my bacon, and the pancakes were delectable. I was also intrigued by the reviews promising super friendly service-which is hard to come by and I appreciate/ will go out of my way to experience. The girl at the counter was the typical surly coffee shop girl but the guy was really friendly and nice. The casualness and the surly girl initially made me wish we had not come but since the food and other guy were nice it was fine. I would not come for a special occasion, but for a quick bite when in the area.
Worst Bacon and egg on whole wheat I have ever tasted. 1 piece of bacon for the whole sandwich which by the way tasted like plastic. It was so bad I had to throw it away and not have breakfast. So breakfast is a no go at this place! I will say they make a ridiculously delicious Cuban Sandwich, and really good chicken cutlets. So my advice go for lunch and not breakfast.
Gourmet Deli. How many deli sandwich’s have you had with lettuce, tomato & mayo? How about something totally different, yet the same? How about a roast beast sandwich with grilled onions & crumbled blue cheese, AND arugula instead of lettuce? It’s gotta be pricey right? No. It’s still the price of a sandwich, just 10 times the quality. Then once you get there, you start to look around at all the other delicious plates. I had a couple of months were all I wanted was the Thai noodle salad. They even made it a bit more spicy for me. You could get chicken or grilled vegetables (which could include things from portabella mushrooms to boch choy) on it. Once they had some grilled shrimp as a special & threw that on it. HEAVEN!Everything is super fresh! When I order the hummus platter, every time I’ve picked it up, it was still warm. And again, specify how smooth you like it or if there’s anything you want to throw in there, because it so boring to eat the same things day after day!
Catering Order – AMAZING!!!!. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! PERFECTION ACHIEVED!!!!I ordered a catering order last week for this evening. It was my first Team Dinner with my Staff and I had no idea if I had ordered enough food or the right food for everyone’s liking. Steve helped me pick out an amazing menu and there was so much left over. The catering order was perfect, on time and blew my staff away.I would recommend Silver Lake Cafe & Grill to anyone!!!!! They have everything you can imagine!!! I will be a repeat customer!!!!!!!!

SHOCKINGLY GOOD FOOD!. I am a regular customer here an can testify why this place rocks on several levels:First, all the food is fresh and, for the modest cafe/deli environment, it is shockingly good – with high quality meats and prepared foods that are trully at a highest quality in catering. The restaurant experience of Stephen, the owner, really shows in every delicious bight.Second, all of the staff are charming and super friendly – I highly recommend this spot, which is located right in the Silver Lake town center in West Harrison.
BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN TOWN!. I am in love with the Silver Lake Cafe Grill! The girls who work the register are super nice and give great suggestions (like Sweet potato fries with Chipotle mayo– trust me, it’s to die for!) . The owner Steve is such a friendly guy, always smiling and creating new foods for us to try. Word is spreading fast about this gem of a deli! This cafe is really going places!! LOVE THEM <3*highly recommended!!!!!!
