  Francescos was the bakery my wedding hall (Chateaubriand) used for my wedding cake so my husband and I made an appointment for a cake tasting which went well – we picked our cake which was a 4 tier circle/square white buttercream cake with 2 tiers of vanilla custard with fresh strawberries and 2 tiers of cannoli cream. At the cake tasting we told Jamie we wanted a rhinestone ribbon on the bottom of each tier – she told me i had the option of buying theirs which was $400 or buying my own and paying them $100 to put it on so naturally i picked the less expensive option and bought my own rhinestone ribbon (which was not a cheap ribbon – the ribbon alone cost us $100 but was absolutely beautiful and well made.) The day of my wedding before they let the guests into the room they let us in to see the room and the cake – immediately I realized the ribbon was put on backwards!!! The rhinestone side was on the inside of the cake and the part that was showing was a dull silver color – I dont know how on earth a professional that does this everyday could have made a mistake like that. I was in complete shock and very uset to say the least but there was nothing that could be done at that point and I had to deal with it and let me tell you it looked hideous when our full rhinestone cake topper was put on the cake. So at the end of the day I paid $100 for my ribbon and $100 for Francescos to put it on my cake for it to be put on the wrong way and look ridiculous in my pictures. Very upsetting. Someone should definitely be checking the cake before it leaves for the hall – its not just a birthday party it was MY WEDDING – I can never get this day back and my cake and pictures were ruined and I paid $200 in total for it – You would think they would refund my money for this HUGE mistake!!
