Great local pizzeria whose popularity is growing. We enjoy their pizza and heros for take out. The few times we dined in, the food was excellent, portions huge but the service not great. It seems to me we were forgotten because the waitress was chatting with all of the regulars in the place. Definitely good food and I prefer them for take out rather than dine in.
Owner does not honor gift certificates!. I had a gift card for $45.00 that was about 2 years old. Fourteen of us went to dinner there last night and our bill was $250.00. The owner refused to accept my gift card stating that the signature was that of the previous owner. I explained that in addition to my current $250.00 bill, I, and many of my colleagues, have been weekly patrons for more than 10 years. I reminded him that the gift card had no date or expiration date on it and that the name and picture logo of his restaurant is the exact same name and logo that is on my gift card. He still wouldnt budge. I told him that was fine, but if that was the case, I would never go to his restaurant again and I would let all of my colleagues know about it. He didn’t care. I will never go to Porto Fino’s again, nor will many of my colleagues after hearing about this. The owner is losing over $250 per year in business from me alone. That will be a loss of $2,500 over the next 10 years until I retire. Multiply that by the at least 20 people that I work with who said they will stop going to Porto Fino’s as well…That is a $5,000. per year loss for the owner. I would say that denying my gift card was a VERY poor business choice. Try Umberto’s on Wantagh Avenue in Wantagh. We went there today. The pizza was MUCH better than Porto Fino’s and the price was better as well. 🙂

Porto fino. This place has the best italian food i can find in levittown. their fried calamari appetizer has been consistently good over the years. when i call in for orders the phone staff is always friendly and the wait staff is great. they give a good size portion that can feed for two , and the prices are reasonable. the new owners are great and i love spending time eating there
