Good food in antique shopping heaven.. Very good tasting burgers and good size dish. I was full. The meat texture was firm rather than you expect for a burger. However, I would order again.The local brew was excellent. The cost was more than I pay for lunch, but, after the experience I’d go back and try other dishes. It was my first time in Hudson. Classy diner. I like.
Farm to table is a nice idea, but breakfast today was far from affordable once it made its long journey from the farm to my table. Two eggs over easy with pork patty sausage, home fries and toast. The eggs were good, properly cooked. The home fries were bland and unappealing, even with ketchup and hot sauce. Keep in mind that I don’t normally like home fries, so I may have a negative bias. ONE slice of toast. Good bread, but really, on little thin slice??Then there is the sausage: the funniest tasting pork breakfast sausage I’ve ever had. It was sweet, and not in a good way either. One small thick-ish patty of this odd stuff. To top it off? NO orange juice. Given the very high prices on the incredibly limited menu, I would guess it would be prohibitively expensive. Overall, really not a good experience.
A special success. Expensive? A bit. Delicious? Certainly! Grayson is unique in that it manages to make a locavore restaurant which gives you enough food of high enough quality and delicious taste for a reasonable value. I find most restaurants like grazin really aren’t worth the price but this place fits the bill. I had the most amazing local ham, terrific hand cut fries, and delicious grilled cheese. The wait staff is very friendly! Oh and the price is really aren’t that bad believe it or not. That’s from a college student and not one from the valley…
Always friendly and helpful service food is fresh and tastes great. Higher price than your regular diner but ten times better food than your regular diner. Haven’t had a meal I didn’t enjoy.
Poor experience. Overpriced, small portions, pretentious menu. I appreciate the sustainability/farm to table motif.
