Nice venue for a late summer Sunday brunch. Ask to be seated in the garden — a lush space filled with flowering vines, potted plants and water elements. They offer the usual brunch fare and it’s certainly more than acceptable. Avoid the latkes — too greasy– but the smoked salmon platter is attractively presented and very fresh. Attentive and appropriate service.
Always a staple for us, avoid the ponytail drama queen. Red Dot has always been a staple for us. Especially when picking/dropping off guests to the train back to NYC. Food and atmosphere is excellent and always consistent. However, the drama queen ponytail waitress (those who go know) is getting old. The last time we went (last week) she never even completed taking our order, never brought our drinks, and if she stopped by to say anything it was always as she was looking away and going somewhere else. This is the norm with her, but we are over it. Make sure you sit at the bar and eat or find another server (if there is one on!). On the flip side ,if you get what you ordered the food has always been terrific and fun. Especially the steak with spinach, and the seafood bowl.
Great late night bar
