  Great fun and food. My family and I vacationed in the 1000 Islands this year, it was our first time. But it won’t be our last, we stayed at Angel Rock Lodge and on arrival we were given a coupon for Sunny Bank, which was within walking distance. We went for lunch (25 of us with no reservation!) the staff greeted us with enthusiasm! We went back later that night for Trivia which was so much fun for the whole family! (Yes, again, there was 25 of us, but we made a reservation). On Saturday, just the adults went back for Prime Rib and I have to say I have NEVER had a better prime rib. Generous portions and the taste was out of this world. Friendly people great atmosphere!

  I have been going there several years last year the fish I got was awful when I pointed out that I could not eat it the guy came over and kept shouting at me saying everyone else didn’t have a problem with it. My friend had ordered the same thing and her fish was nice and fluffy mine looked like an old shoe and tasted like one. Must be the same guy who is pushing the moldy bread. I won’t be going there this year. It’s too bad it used to be a great place.

  Had another fantastic dinner at Sunny Banks last night. Our family had been out boating all day and decided what better of a place then sunny banks. We brought the boats right there and docked. 32 of us filled the gorgeous outside patio, overlooking the RIVER! The prime rib buffet was amazing and all of us tried many of the different specials that they had offered. The meal was spectacular and we will be back again for sure.. The staff was great too, you can tell it is a FAMILY restaurant!!

  I was in the sunny bank restaurant last night on our yearly trip to the area and I have to say I will never go back. After waiting to be seated for a while and having to ask the bartender twice to have someone come over we waited almost 10 minutes to be acknowledged by our waitress. The service remained very slow for the rest of the evening an there wasn’t more than 7 other parties in the restaurant. I ordered the jallapeno burger and after taking the first bite I noticed the bottom of the roll was moldy and brought it to the owners attention. Rather than an apology he just took it away and asked if I’d like another one, I declined. He came back a few minutes later with the bag the rolls came out of to show me there was mold on the remaining roll in the package. He basically showed me that 6 other people had eaten the moldy bread. Needless to say we will never be back due to the lack of concern or professionalism of the owner/staff
