I was visiting from out of town and was anxious to try Curry’s . WOW am I glad I did! My companion and I absolutey loved the food and our server Michelle was fabulous ! We sampled a few different things on menu from beer battered fish fry ,chicken wings and the famous dibble sandwich – ALL excellent!The place is clean and staff very efficient . This is a hidden gem in Buffalo – great BANG for the buck too !Must go .
Great food-I had Rueben with fries, he had their wings. Rueben was crisply toasted and generous helping of meat. Wings had delicious flavour. Smaller spot- comfy seats. Thumbs up.
The Good: The food is delicious, portions are large, the price is right. This is a place for homestyle comfort food – no frou-frou dishes here. More Good: Service is prompt. The wait staff are seasoned professionals – helpful and friendly. There are a lot of bars and restaurants that could learn quite a bit from this crew. The Bad: The draft beer selection is uninspired and tired. No craft beers. Bottle selection is the same.More Bad: A single large TV (update…now 2 large TVs behind the bar). You can watch Sabres here, unless there’s a Yankee game. Actually, you can watch any sport you want, unless of course there’s a Yankee game. Heck, you can even watch a breaking story of Bigfoot landing a UFO on the White House lawn…unless there’s a Yankee game.The Good and Bad: The bartenders. Like the wait staff (and some of the wait staff also tend bar) most of the bartenders are seasoned veterans…but a few are considerably less professional in their demeanor, language and behavior than (most) others. The bartenders have regular shifts and I’ve quickly learned what nights to avoid.More Good and Bad: There’s a lot of energy and fun in the bar following a St. Joe’s HS home sporting event (the school is right across the street) but good luck getting a drink when patrons are 5 deep and the regulars at the bar, mostly St. Joe’s coaches and assorted jock-sniffers, get all the attention.
My Favorite Place. This is a restaurant that never fails. The bar area is what every bar should be like- a friendly, joyful atmosphere with a nice varietty of beer on tap, and two big screen TVs that always have a hockey game on or some other sporting event. The food here is just great. Never had a bad dish, and the piece de resistance is their stuffed banana peppers, simply amazing. This is the place where I go at any time.
