Bad staff good food. We came tonight for restaurant week (we live in Kenmore and come at least every other month) and our waitress was beyond rude. She is maybe in her thirties or forties and had black hair, tied up. The food was delicious but if this staff member isn’t related they should let her go, we probably won’t go back because she was so unfriendly and unhelpful! She acted as if it was a choir to serve us. If you hate your job please change professions.

Excellent!. I hadn’t been here in a long time and only once with a friend. I enjoyed it then and for some reason always forgot about it. A friend of mine from Buffalo who now lives on the west coast was in town and wanted some good Italian, specifically Chicken French, since where she is, there is no authentic Italian. I went on line looking in the area and found Jovi’s menu. I remembered how much I liked it before and we were not disappointed. It was EXCELLENT! The artichokes Francaise melted in our mouths and my friend got the chicken as well. I had the combo veal and eggplant parmesan which was also delicious. I must go back again!!

Cozy Italian Restaurant. I have driven by this place numerous times on Delaware ave in Kenmore and never even noticed it. Glad I finally went in because the food is great. Decent size bar area and restaurant off to the side. Staff is very knowledgeable about their food and drinks. Many specials to choose from that are not on the menu. Prices are reasonable for large portions. You can get classic Italian meals along with sandwiches, salads and chicken wings. Some of my favorite items are the meatball sandwich, eggplant rollatini and the braciole. Ask for a side of hot peppers to go with your meal or try the appetizer. Turned many people on to this place and they have all been impressed too.

Good food, awkward service. Right when we sat down we asked for separate checks (we had two couples dining together) and were told no. I thought this was a common request, especially in the days where less people carry cash. The waitress said that they were too busy and couldn’t give us separate checks. I was very disappointed, and it led to an awkward conversation betwen us about which couple would pay for dinner, and which would owe the other. The food was great. Then when we got our bill, drinks that we had already paid for at the bar showed up on our bill, and it seemed like it was a huge hassle for them to take care of the problem. I hate when the process of paying for dinner overshadows the enjoyment of the food.

Great place for Food and Drinks. Jovi’s is unmatched in Kenmore and North Buffalo!!! The food is very good and the menu has a wide variety of fine dining Italian dishes. My favorite is the braciole. I go to Jovi’s two three times a month. If you have not gone you are missing out!!!!!!

Nice place. Very surprised when we walked in the door. Family had chicken Marsala Jovei’s pepper steak ravioli and excellent rack of lamb. Nice olive garnish with bread. Very good service. If in north buffalo or kenmore, I recommend.

Large portions, but a few general dislikes about the restaurant. The first time I dined at Jovi’s, I was pleasantly surprised. While waiting for our dinner, we were served a basket of bread and an interesting plate of olives, peppers, chickpeas and onions to spread on the bread. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and felt it was a good value for the money. I was stuffed after eating about half of my meal, so I had plenty to take home. Their dessert and wine lists were lengthy. Our server was very knowledgeable about their many featured specials. HOWEVER, I am now editing my review after dining there a second time. This time around, the service was very slow (different server than the first time). The manager (or owner) refilled our waters for us (sort of odd that they don’t have a bus boy or someone to take care of that), but our sodas sat empty for far too long. I was also disappointed to find that the size of their soda was the size of a small juice glass and packed with ice. When the bill arrived, I was shocked to find that they charge for refills of the tiny sodas. Overall, a decent place to go if you’ve got a lot of time to wait for your order to be taken/food to be served/drinks refilled, but definitely not the place to go if you’re in a hurry (or if you drink a lot of soda with your meal).
