Great Thai Food, Plentiful & Fresh. My wife and I ate at Yummy Thai — Kenmore for the first time, just this week. We had wanted to try it for some time, but never got around to it.We were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is quite large, very clean, and quiet. Most of it is paneled in knotty pine. Tables and seating are comfortable. There is a bar that serves wine and beer, but no liquor. Staff are friendly and greeted us immediately and with smiles. Our waiter checked up on us from time to time but was never intrusive or overly sociable. We ordered Fried Tofu as an appetizer ($5.99). It was plentiful, crisp on the outside and creamy inside, but not at all greasy. It was served with a light raspberry sauce, a little bland for my taste. Subtract one-half star. The dish needs a little more punch. We also ordered two stir-fry dishes: Yummy Cashew Nuts w/Pork ($9.99) and Chili Lime Ginger w/Chicken ($9.99). These were again plentiful, and also delicious. They came with an abundant amount of tender meat and garden-fresh vegetables. White rice was served as an accompaniment. I ordered a beer and my wife had a glass of chardonnay. We truly enjoyed our meal and appreciated the freshness of the veggies as well as the high quality of the meat. By the time we were done with dinner there was no room for dessert.Subtract one-half point for lackluster decor, something we have found common to many Asian restaurants. No big deal. If you like knotty pine you will be ecstatic. The total amount paid was $52. The amount included my 20% tip.We have been to three other Thai restaurants near our home. Yummy Thai ranks up there with the best. We are already planning a return visit.
Friendly staff, clean place , and fresh yummy food
Horrible entree. We decided to check out this place since we like Thai food a lot. We went during restaurant week and had a good special. It was appetizer, entree and dessert for a reasonable price. Our appetizer was good a and dessert was alright too. The entres were less than enjoyable. Mine smelled about as bad as a smelly diaper. It wasn’t tasty at all by any means. I took a picture of the dish and I showed it to the place I normally go to and they were grossed out by how it looked. I am so glad this place was not my first experience with Thai food because I would be turned off of it for a long time if not forever.
Delivery. We were too tired to cook the day before Christmas eve, so we decided to give Yummy Thai a try. we had it delivered and it was excellent. great service, delivered hot and they have four levels of spicy you can choose from. We are so glad there is something other than pizza or subs that deliver. We will be ordering again!
