This Salvadoran Gem hidden in plain sight on Essex Street in the lower east side is worth visiting. The pupusas are a little cakes filled with various savories. Try the Hongos, Pollo and Mushroom filled ones. Don’t expect to go there for a meal, this place is strictly a take out place. If you willing to try something new, you won’t be disappointed!
