A must visit. I recently visited NYC with my wife, who is a Shanghai Chinese native. We stayed in Chinatown and she spent the week trying to find food that reminded her of home. While some came closer than others, Famous Sichuan was the one that really got it right, according to her, that is!We ordered the beef saute, where the beef is cut so thin and fried so hot that it’s almost like bacon. Delicious. We also ordered the flat noodles and the chicken and mushroom with Sichuan numbing peppers. Don’t be afraid! While they’re hot, they’re not devilishly so! The food was insanely good and had a great price. Absolutely a must go and I wish I could go there regularly!
