Joey Allaham is a noted name in the kosher industry. He was born in Syria but moved to the U.S. in 1992 along with his family who comes from a long line of butchers. His father just like his grandfather was a trained butcher, and while he was growing up in Damask he has the opportunity to learn a lot about the meat business. After arriving in America he decided to go with his guts and build a career in the food industry, despite his parents demands to study law and become a lawyer.Getting started in NYC was anything but easy for him, and he spent years working as a workman before he was able to open his first restaurant Prime Grill. The restaurant enjoyed a certain status among New Yorkers and attracted a lot of A-list names. Equipped with expertise and determined to improve the kosher reputation, Joey Allaham put in a lot of time and effort into expanding his business. Eventually he opened up a Mediterranean-Asian fusion restaurant, a Japanese steakhouse, and a gourmet food store Prime Butcher Baker.The modern, kosher butcher and prepared food shop located on the Upper East Side offers something completely different, unique and never seen before. It is a place that brings all food lovers and community members together for delicious food and drink. Joey Allaham has explored the kosher and modern Jewish Cuisine in NYC like no one before, which is why he is known as one of the most successful kosher restaurant owners in the United States.
