Done. This is the worst restaurant if you are not Spanish or Dominican. They do not speak English and they cannot take a order over the phone in English. They hang up on you. I called 4 times and they said hold on only to hung up on me. This is not the first time and I have lived in this neighborhood for 15 years. Not everyone is Hispanic and not everyone speaks Spanish. We are still in American and speak English. Don’t bother if you are and American speaking English. I will no longer patronize this establishment.

Heavenly Food. This wonderful place is located a short block South from the A line station at Inwood/ 207th St. It should be well worth a visit when you aren’t from Washington Heights and visiting the Cloisters. The place is well appointed and the waitstaff is very helpful. This is particularly the case because some of the food translations seem to be rather flat in comparison to what they very correctly describe. I had a wonderful chicken/rice soup that was cooked in a criollo (creole) season mix. Very tasty. I accompanied this with some sangria which worked on many levels.I have eaten several different entrees here over several visits and I have not been disappointed and my friends who have accompanied me have felt the same way. They in particular do seafood well as well as chicken dishes in my opinion.

Great dominican food. Well I want to say here that La Nueva Espana is a great place to lunch and dinner;prices are good for the amount and quality of food. The’re are very tasteful and clorful,I like the Mofongo and the tostones. Thanks Marino.

The prices are reasonable with curteous and quick service. Try the paella with sangria. It’s awesome.

  • SamR

SamR. No match for homecooking taste anywhere. Amazing seafood dishes and exotic Dominican dishes like Mofongo and tostones magicos. If you are willing to put up with loud patrons and shouting (but cute and forgetful) waitresses, you are in for a treat.
