The food at this diner is usually very good but it can be random. Service is also random you can have a great server or a woman who tends to throw your food at you. And please don’t ask her for some part of your meal that you are entitled to because she will not be happy and will barely accommodate you.
Best Diner this side of the mississippi!. My family and I moved here from nyc last winter and being the chef I am ……..We come to the thornwood diner 3-4 times a week .I have 4 kids and a husband who eats more than 4 children combined! From breakfast to dinner ,this diner never disappoints! Staff is super friendly , amazing with loud screaming children and with a smile. Order anything from burgers to steaks and you will leave with a full belly servings are very large! They just recently renovated which was well over due! I give this diner 12 thumbs up!
Worth the visit. I eat at this diner several times a month. The salads are fresh, I personally like the Greek chicken salad the most. 4 big pieces of chicken breast over feta and greens….. a good house dressing as well. I would also recommend the burgers. They have been spot on, most of the time. The o’l standby is the Bacon cheese burger and fries… As for breakfast, eggs, pancakes, and waffles are your standard diner staples pretty good but kind of like every other diner in Westchester. Home fries are good, I prefer well done and there more than happy to oblige. Friendly staff fast service as well.I would recommend this place if your in the area.
Tasty, Quick and Fresh. This place sure has changed — and for the better — over the many years I’ve lived in the Town of Mt. Pleasant. The current cooks at Thornwood Coach turn out fresh, creative salads; good sandwiches; and decent full meals, as well. A great place to go with family and friends, for a casual night out or quick bite on the run.
Excellent. Great food, great service. Family eats here once a week.
