Good Pizza in New Rochelle. As you know, the claim of good pizza is a subjective one. I do consider myself to be a bit of a pizza snob and eat pizza from a lot of different places throughout the metro area and beyond. While I believe there is better pizza elsewhere, (Sal’s in Mamaroneck), you will not find a better cheese pizza in downtown New Rochelle. I have only ordered regular from Alfredo’s and it suits my palate with a crust that is not too thick, sauce that is not too tart nor sweet, and decent cheese that does not come across as being chewy. All in all, pretty good bang for your buck. The staff is always nice and the pizza comes out hot every time. Can’t speak about their other menu items but the pizza generally does the trick for us when in New Rochelle.
