Overall a great experience. This place creates such an ambiance that matches the food. The staff was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu and foods in general. The owner greeted us and gave us a warm welcome to his establishment. The food is amazing as I tried multiple dishes (was with a big group of people). I was very pleased with the overall experience and highly recommend going!

We thought this restaurant was a great find in the heart of New Rochelle business district. The staff couldn’t be nicer there were very professional. The place has plenty of tables with a nice bar area. We went there for dinner, and had the following: Shrimp & Grits, the Grits were creamy parmesan with sauted shrimp and seasonal vegetables which was delicious tasting. The Westchester Best Fried Chicken was good however I am not sure they are the Best in Westchester, the Macaroni & Cheese side was just ok, it was a little dry and the cooked greens were tasteless…..I was sorry I didn’t order the Shrimp & Grits. The Crispy Fried Catfish that my friend had looked great, and she finished the whole plate and said her meal was great. Now the Dessert we shared the Molten Chocolate Lava Cake which was sweet and good. The Start Sharing menu had lots of choices from Crab Cakes to BBQ / Jerk Chicken Wings. I will defiantly came back here when I am in the area but I will sit in the bar area for the Start Sharing Menu.

Very classy and romantic place to dine. Food was TERRIFIC!!!! The owner comes by to greet everyone and thanks you when leaving. Quick and attentive service. Wait staff was awesome. This will definitely be one of my favorite places to frequent. Highly recommend to others. Curry crab and corn chowder was slamming and the entree portions are huge! Oxtails were excellent. My husband had the fried chicken, Mac and cheese and collard greens…he just closed his eyes like he was in heaven when he tasted each one. On a scale from 1-10…I give it a 15. The only negative is…the place is small. Tight seating spaces. But once u taste the food who cares?

My wife and I have eaten here many times. Alvin is the most gracious of hosts. His manager, Jennifer, also serves as the resident wine expert and a very good palate. The curry corn and clam chowder is fantastic. The nuance of flavors make the dish so tasty withou being overpowering. There is also lovely chunks of lump crabmeat. Great appetizer! The lamb dish I had this week was beautifully sseasoned and tender as can be. My wife’s jerk seasoned duck breast was subtle yet distinctive in flavor and cooked to perfection. Both paired beautifully with the bottle of Pauillac that accompanied it. Their side dish of sizzled kale is like potato chips in that you can’t stop eating them. We really enjoy this restaurant and it continues to be one of our local favorites.

Captivating, elegant, inviting. Alvin greeted us! My Caesar salad southern style was superb. The chowder delectable. Wine suggestion transported me to my last Caribbean vacation. Quick meal: burger for hubby and fried oysters appetizer for me. Skipped dessert in a rush. Next time… soon.

DRIVE TO NEW ROCHELLE NOW (or metro-north). Service is great. Alvin comes to your table and says hello and its so awesome because your personally talking to a star. Food is great. Come on carribean tuesdays and order anything that has to do with fish. Decor is very modern. Only thing is that parking can be a little tight.
