Best Latin Food in Westchester. I don’t even have to say anymore. It is that simple! The place of the restaurant is kind of awkward though, but that’s not the part that matters. Do try this place. It is simply heaven. I will be putting this review on YELP! as well.
A Fabulous Restaurant. Last night we went to Don Coqui for the first time – we were a party of 4. From beginning to end this was one of the best meals we ever had. The food, drinks & service was spectacular. The portions are large & of high quality & quite delicious – also reasonably priced. For example the seafood paella which comes with 1/2 lobster, clams, mussels, calamari, etc. etc. & is huge goes for $26. We shared the mixed appetizer for 2 (for 4 of us) & still had lots left over. Again the food is great & so is the service. Chris the Manager came over to speak with us a couple of times. Our waiter Mike was helpful & attentive – more than willing to explain everything to us more than once. It is a warm friendly atmosphere. This place is a find. We will definitely return & recommend Don Coqui to our friends. A great, great restaurant.
I’ve had this on my wishlist for a while and finally went last night. The atmosphere was nice and it has good potential but I have more complaints than compliments. My main issue was that my party was rushed through our three course meal. I wanted to finish my Stew Seafood entree but the staff wanted to clear the table to bring out dessert. In the middle of dessert they aske us to move to the lounge area. They moved in new customers and while we sat cramped trying to finish the rest of our meal. We had to walk to the cashier to pay our own bill! To make matters worse, the meal that i didn’t finish wasn’t completely given back to me. Half my meal wasn’t given back. I don’t believe our $900 table + $20 for valet parking and the long wait we had to endure was worth it. I won’t be going back here nor would I advise others to go here.
Good Puerto Rican food with Huge portions. Little further from the city but worth the trip & u can’t miss this place. It’s right next to the highway. Nice decor and friendly staff.
