Caf Fledermaus is located in the basement of the Neue Galerie. Often overlooked, it is far easier to snag a table here than waiting hours for a table upstairs at Caf Sabarsky and the cuisine here is just as good and authentic as what one would get in Vienna. The prices are a touch high, but worth every bite. Dagny & I came to see an exhibit but refreshments came first. We each had coffee and cake. D ordered the kaiser mlange (espresso with whipped cream) and I had my favorite einspnner (double espresso with whipped cream served in a glass). Both of us chose the Himbeer-Joghurt-Mohntorte (raspberry, yogurt poppyseed cake) that was toothsome. When we are especially hungry, we like to have the wrste (sausages). A relaxing caf with good food and a a liquor license. The way to go!Recommended.
