A really amazing roadside ice cream place that is sadly no longer in fashion. Great food and great prices.
They make all of the ice cream served there. I am especially fond of their fat free sugar free frozen yogurt as I am a dieter. :). There soft serve is the best I’ve tasted in this area and their prices are comparable to other places in the area. They are seasonal from about the end of May to the end of September.
A Local Summer Classic. Bonomo’s is a classic local hot spot for a cool treat during the summer. Bonomo’s is seasonal so they are closed from late fall to early spring. I’ve only ever had their ice cream but that’s all you really need. On a hot summer day, passing through between Utica and Oneida on Rt. 5, Bonomo’s is worth the stop for a quick treat. Their ice cream is delicious and at a reasonable price. I base most ice cream places one of three categories: The height of their small soft-serve, the quality of their Black Cherry hard ice cream, and the fruitiness of their Orange-Pineapple. Bonomo’s has some of the best Black Cherry and quite a large small. Haven’t had orange-pineapple from there but I highly recommend Bonomo’s. Make it a nice family trip, get-together with friends, or date night with their new mini-golf course.
