EveRy region has their favorite way to do BBQ, and I hve no idea where that would be for this place. I grew up in the South and have lived in Kansas City, and if you love BBQ like I do, avoid this version. The sauce is the true abomination – thick, sugary, more like ketchup than anything else.
The place is amazing!!!!! Yummy pulled pork, baked beans and slaw!! Omg was in heaven! Waitress was a sweetheart 🙂 Great BBQ10 Feb, 2011What a great place!!! Good service, great atmosphere, decent food. If you are looking for a cool place to eat in Utica, give it a try. Try the 3 meat platter, sausage was excellentas were the. Mixed veggies, incredible butter saute.
Review. Nice atmosphere, clean. The wait staff is very friendly.I am from Texas, and could not even believe they call their meats BBQ. The brisket was more like crock pot cooked pot roast. The turkey was also like something that came out of a crock pot. I guess if you have no idea what BBQ is then you don’t know is bad. I was extremely disappointed.
Not awesome…pretty boring and average. Food overpriced, BBQ was unremarkable, atmosphere was a towny bar. I don’t get it…I could open a can of baked beans and get a frozen pulled pork sanghwhich and it would be equally as good.But it is Utica and most people don’t know betterr.
