Excellent food! Horrific service. Told there would be a 25 minute wait ended up being 45 minutes. Was finally sat and there were empty tables everywhere. Another 10-15 minute wait before anyone checked on us or even offered water. Our waitress Kelsy was horrible. Appetizers came out to the table by a food runner and they were amazing. All were cooked beautifully. Waitress never checked on us. And the mains were fired and were dropped at the table before appetizers were done. Had to flag down the waitress to get more water, soft drinks and well drinks. Steak and fish were good but over cooked. Horrible waitress Kelsey offered us dessert twice whilst we were still eating our mains.

Excellent food and atmosphere. The decor has a lot going on. The food was amazingly delicious and had a great local vibe. The dessert whole cheesecake batman…

Opening Spring 2013. Upstate Tavern is scheduled to open this spring in the former location of Rodizio at Turning Stone Casino and Resort. It is suppose to be a laid back place to meet after work, have a pint of New York brews, and some American comfort food. While I look forward to its opening and a close location for a good selection of interesting beers that you don’t find in the average restaurants in the area, I wonder if it will be a welcome replacement for the Brazilian Steakhouse that once occupied that space. Rodizio was definitely more unique to the area, not that a more upscale pub is easy to find around the Mohawk Valley (Nail Creek Pub and The Green Onion Pub are the only two that come to mind). So, I’m curious to see what they make of it and I regret not making it to Rodizio sooner.
