Menu has a delicious variety that is affordable and worth a visit! Service and environment were both terrific. Unassuming from the outside ( looks like a roadside bar) it is filled with delicious food and fun!
WOW! Best Authentic Mexican I’ve had in a WHILE!. I spotted this place driving to Newburgh and on my way back I decided to give it a shot. Man, I wish I had stopped on my way in because I would have had this food TWICE! I was the first customer for lunch and was greeted with smiles from everyone of the staff. The decor of the place is very inviting! As a vegetarian, I know that authentic beans are made with lard and that the rice is made with chicken stock, but I wanted to make sure and the waitress was very honest and confirmed my suspicions, BUT she asked the cook to make me some beans without lard, and she did it!!! I was very impressed that they went out of their way to at least give me some vegetarian beans! The vegetarian selections are very impressive, but one thing I didn’t find were vegetarian chimichangas. So I asked if I could have my vegetarian burrito chimi-style. And I could! The service was attentive. The food was amazing. And I will be coming back when in the Newburgh area!!!!
Exceptional Food. Food is fresh and service is great. By far the best mexican restaurant in Orange County.
Food was pretty good. I clicked like but food could be a bit better or less expensive. Either or.
Delicious and spiced right!. Several excursions to this restaurant have proven that the awesome food was not just an accident — everything has been spiced and cooked just right; you can eat your way through the menu — there is no going wrong. The tableside guacamole preparation means fresher than fresh, so be prepared to use your elbows to fend off others who think they may be as deserving as you.Large portions mean lunch leftovers (or, certainly, you could chow it all down at one sitting, but then you’d miss dessert…); I can’t imagine anyone could ever walk away from this table still hungry.Friendly service here, and the cost of the food compared to its deliciousness is entirely reasonable.
Fresh Food, Exceptional Service. Being a vegan, finding food in a Mexican restaurant that I can eat is usually hopeless. At Avocado, there are several choices- they even allowed me to customize an entree recently. The made-at-the-table guacamole is some of the best I’ve had anywhere, and it’s been consistent with the several different waitstaff who’ve served us. The staff is very friendly and responsive and they seem genuinely appreciative of the business. How ironic that you’d have to leave the City of Newburgh to get good Mexican cuisine.
