Never disappoints, always impressive!. We’ve been to this restaurant at least 20 times since it changed hands. The food has always been top-notch. Some of the best Indian food we’ve ever tasted. Full of subtle flavors and beautifully combined. We were there again last night. They’ve improved upon and changed some things on the menu. We ordered some of the newer items. The food was even better than our previous visits- it was hard to beat before. This restaurant seems to actually get better with time. Service as always was commendable. Impressive! Another update January, 2015: This place continues to impress! We’ve recommended this restaurant to many people and all are happy we did. There are few restaurants we’ve been to that have maintained their quality and service for such a long run.
Best Indian food I’ve ever had. The bread came hot and fresh, the chutney so flavorful. My entree was mango fish curry, and it was full of complex and surprising flavors masterfully put together. The menu is so interesting and diverse– can’t wait to go back!!! Left feeling so happy!!!
Service is very poor. On two occassions I went in alone when it was not busy and was ignored. Two different servers approached me andasked me if I was picking up a takeout order. When I said no I was dining in they walked away…no menu no nothing. I OVERHEARD SERVERS ARGUING WHO WAS GOING TO WAOT ON ME BECAUSE I WAS ALONE AND NOT WORTH THEIR TIME. I WAS ALSO A WOMAN. Food is not good…..do not waste your time…
I’ve eaten at many indian restaurants in the area, and this is by far the best. I’ve tried many things on the menu and all have been spectacular!
Thoroughly delicious meal, excellent service and very affordable. I highly recommend the Thai menu, it was very authentic and very, very tasty. Dinner and dessert were an absolute pleasure.
Fantastic. My girlfriend and I have been super impressed with this place. They call themselves a blend of Indian and Thai, though they are MUCH more Indian oriented. This isn’t meant to be a put down, just stating fact. Everything we’ve eaten there has been top notch. Even the lunch buffet and we are NOT fans of buffets… that said, ordering from the kitchen is still better than the buffet for obvious reasons but the buffet price is fair and the food is still very on par. In a nutshell, this is probably our favorite restaurant in the New Windsor, Newburgh, Cornwall area. On top of great food and healthy portions, they have a full bar, an acceptable wine list, decent prices, and fast and friendly service. Just go.
180 degree turnaround. We noticed that the previous Indian restaurant at this location changed their name so we decided to try it again. The difference was incredible. Service was near perfect and the food was fresh and well prepared. The atmosphere was as it had been, which was the best thing about our previous visits. So now that the food is great, it all adds up to a place that will make for a special evening. One little thing, whipped cream and cherry is not appropriate as a topping for a mango lassi.
