We have been fans of Division Street Grill for many years. It’s our favorite spot before a show at the Paramount. The kitchen generally executes well on the seasonal menu items. Sometimes the kitchen gets backed up and delivery of dinner is slow, but other times no problem. Last night we were in and out within the hour. Edmeades red Zinfandel was the wine special, quite good at $30/bottle, $9 glass. Mixed green salads contained candied walnuts, blue cheese, grape tomatoes $9 each. Husband had short ribs, served with broccoli and mashed potatoes $25 (I think). I had sauteed diver scallops, with fig puree, zucchini and rice $28. Everything was delicious! Service was attentive and pleasant. Summer hours are just Friday – Sunday.
Did the NYE $55 prix fixe menu for a total of 10 people including myself. What a HORRIBLE MISTAKE/EXPERIENCE. An 830pm reservation turned into an entire night experience with us leaving at close to 1130pm NOT BY OUR CHOICE. First off the service was extremely slow and un-attentive. It took 30 mins after we sat down to even be offered drinks, then when we still hadn’t gotten our drinks we flagged down the waitress to ask if we could put in our food orders. Drinks ended up coming out right before our first course (soup) about 20 mins later. The night continued along like that, barely got water refills, never was offered another round of drinks. Then two meals of the main course did not come out until well after the other 8 meals had already been eaten. We asked the waitress if anything could be done and she spoke with manager (Arte?) who said he would comp a $55 meal. Instead of doing so when we received the check he instead somehow charged us included 20% gratuity on a total bill of $1300, when our bill was only around $650 ($55ppx10 = 550 plus about $100 drinks), which came to $237 gratuity on what was actually a $650 meal. Not sure if he was trying to get over on us and make us think we got a discount or what. After speaking with Arte, who was in charge and did this I asked if our gratuity made any sense to him, he said the computer just does what it does. I really don’t know if the man was drunk, completely oblivious, or both, and he was the manager/owner! After about 15 mins of literally telling him how to use his computer so that we wouldn’t be overcharged we finally got our check straightened out with $55 discount. So frustrated with the entire experience at this restaurant I will be sure to NEVER EVER GO BACK. How does a manager/owner leave one waitress alone to serve around 50 people? Arte should barely call himself a manager because he is a terrible one. He stands behind the bar doing who knows what and has no clue what is happening in his restaurant.
Crab stuffed Avacado, Ceaser Salad, Salmon-Scallops-Shrimp Salad with Cider dressing and a really delicious Rigatoni inBolognaise sauce. All this and a wonderful Jazz background. This is our best restaurant for a preshow dinner.
Lovely Evening. Had a lovely evening tonight . Six of us- all dinners very good. Staff was friendly and very professional Jazz trumpet playing in background was just wonderful!!! Will return in the future.
Great Food! Wonderful venue for rehearsal dinner!. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at the Division Street Grill. It was great! The food is delicious and high quality! We had a number of dietary restrictions that they accommodated perfectly. The ingredients and dishes are made in house so no worries about things like MSG. Arnie (the owner) and his crew are super nice and friendly. They welcomed us and explained everything when we met in advance to try out the restaurant. At the event, we had plenty of crew members helping us. We especially loved Osley! He became part of the family. He talked with people sometimes, he made my grandparents feel super comfortable which is difficult because they hardly spoke English and were overwhelmed by everything at first, and he had people laughing together on several occasions all while perfectly managing the wait staff and the service. Thanks!
Worst steak I’ve ever had…. I’ve given this place it’s fair shot. Eaten here a couple of times. Its never great and last time I ordered the steak au poivre and was served a grissly piece of rib eye in a watery mess of a sauce that did not even resemble what it was supposed to be. There are FAR better places to eat in Peekskill. This place is overpriced and the food in general is awful.
