Another great downtown restaurant in plattsburgh. I recommend to any person in the plattsburgh area. Fun service, good drinks, good food. You can’t go wrong.
Decided to check this place out last night. They have some outdoor seating in addition to indoor. First of all, we were greeted by nearly all the staff we saw. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. They have several craft beers on tap and bottled. After we ordered our appetizer and meal, we were given a small bowl of crackers and pimento cheese. Pimento cheese in Plattsburgh! My wife practically licked the bowl clean! For an appetizer we ordered pulled pork poutine. The pork was outstanding. The gravy was more like a broth but it was a good compliment to the pork. I ordered the meatloaf, my wife ordered muscles and my daughter ordered the half a chicken. The meatloaf reminded me of my grandmothers. The mashed potatoes were good but could’ve used some more butter. My wife couldn’t get enough of the muscles (which were considered an appetizer). The sauce was really good. My daughters chicken was like nothing I have ever had up here. The owner came out and told us they brine the chicken overnight. Just fabulous. As we were finishing up licking our plates, this gal came over and asked us if we wanted to try some sweet treats she made today. We rarely eat desert but what the heck. I had the key lime pie which was actually in a mason jar. The crust was pretzel which sounded odd but it was awesome. My wife and daughter had a Nutella chocolate cheesecake. I think they liked it since all I heard was mmmmmm the entire time. Oh and they got one to go. Overall I would say this place is a MUST try if you’re in the downtown area.
Menu. Hey Failboat, We apologize about the menu! We just took it off our Facebook page since the seasons are changing and the availability of fresh vegetables from our local farms changes too. Our fall menu is just about ready and we will post it to our Facebook page as soon as possible. If you would like a copy of our current menu, give us a call (518-534-2373) or FB message and we will send it to your e-mail address. We are surely sorry you were so disappointed!03 Jul, 2014Response. I just wanted to let the reviewer know the thing she thought was soup was actually our hopping john salad which is served with our sandwiches. It is served cold and it was put into a soup container so it didn’t make her sandwich soggy when packaged together. I’m sorry this was not explained to her when she picked up her take out order.
No Menu available online. No menu online + at work = FAIL!!!
A Complete Nightmare. Wanted a quick breakfast before driving back to NYC so stopped in on Sunday AM. Waited forever for breakfast and when we did get it it was not worth the wait. If you want a quick bite for breakfast this is NOT the place to go!
Friendly. Delicious.. My first visit to BCB was enjoyable. The service was friendly, the atmosphere quaint. The lunch menu offered a delicious quesadilla and a refreshing caprese salad. I highly recommend both. BCB is an oasis in a town where quality food without pretension is all but impossible to find.I will definitely return. I give it a solid 9 out of 10.03 Jul, 2014Friendly. POOR SERVICE. Quaint cafe BUT………. service is terrible. You seat yourselves, which is okay because you are seen when you come in. We waited 15 minutes before a waitress came and took our drink order. Then another 10 for another waitress to come and finish the order. There were 6 tables and 4 waitresses! The soup I ordered came out COLD and she had no knowledge of the food on how it was to be served. We had to ask for our order to go due to me having to return to work. I was very surprised to see 1/2 of the soup had been poured into my sandwich container and the salad was hot and wilted. I won’t recommend this cafe ….they’re is ALOT of training/educating that thiscafe needs.
