Slow delivery/cold fooe. Order today at 11:20 5 meals ordered early to get food at our lunch time. Food was delivered at 12:45, after I called to see where food was.. We are less then 5 miles away, it is snowing an expected a little longer then usual delivery time. Order was all cold, no prices or delivery fee on order, driver didn’t know what delivery fee was. Even with prices given at time of order could not figure out bill. ,menu says free delivery, but is only good in city limits. We are probably closer then city delivery’s.
I ordered the special which was a turkey sandwich and soup. It took 40 minutes to arrive, the soup was covered in oil, and the sandwich was just ok.They were doing phone in orders and carry-out like crazy and ignoring the customers in the dining room. While we were waiting, a guy came in, ordered the special, and was on his way in five minutes. wtHeck ?It was a very bad experience for us. We will not be coming back.
Good food, very large portions. I’ve always been satisfied with the food and service. Good food at moderate prices. French fry servings are almost too large; they’re larger than the average person could ever eat at one sitting. I would suggest that Duke should insist on better attire for the chefs and construct a more modern bathroom. Duke, the owner, attended one of New England’s best culinery colleges.
Walked in, and was greeted by four dirty tables, two tables with people at them, and two waitstaff behind the counter chatting with the cook through the window of the kitchen. After seating myself at the counter, one of the waiters glanced back at me, then continued his conversation with the cook. Rushed & rude service, when I finally got it. Food was decent, as far as diner food is concerned, but I will not be back.
