Not really a authentic Mexican restaurant. The dining room is EXTREMELY LOUD. The meals are just okay. I would say if you are looking for something authentic in Plattsburgh that this isn’t the place. I don’t eat seafood but I have been told that the seafood specials are decent. As far as I’m concerned, I would choose Taco Bell first…

I have been going to the pepper for approximately ten years. it actually is the only bar i go to in plattsburgh. i’ve had some wonderful times there, with my friends and family, and with glen labarre the bartender, josh, jamie and the waitresses.. michelle, the owner, is never too busy to stop by and say hello, and do a ‘shot’ with you! everyone loves the margueritas; i can’t drink them anymore d/t a stomach problem, but i sure like their long island iced teas!!!!! great place to spend two or three hours. actually, i’ve spent five or six hours at a time in the past!!!!! don’t miss cinco de mayo!!!!
Amazing food! Came inlate afternoon, service was excellent, food was exquisite! Try the pulled beef taco salad!
If you are expecting Mexican or Tex Mex food, you will be very disappointed. Quite possibly the worst Spanish rice I have ever tried to eat. Service leaves a lot to be desired. Thankfully, they put hot sauce on the table so that you can add flavor to otherwise bland food. Not a fan.

Best Mexican North of the border!. I had the pleasure of visiting this trendy little Mexican Dining delight last week. I was pleasantly surprised by the variation of choices on the menu and the quality of the ingredients. I have lived in the South and it is authentic and they use NO GROUND BEEF! Only slowly cooked brisket and fresh chicken. Vegetarian dishes are a delight and the heat is just right! DO NOT MISS!!!
