If I could give this business 0 stars, I would…and this is why: So my coworkers and I ordered food for lunch. We tried to place our order over the phone- that should have been our first clue to terrible service. The woman answering the phones placed us on hold for over 5 minutes and we could hear everyone talking in the background. We called back and no one would answer the phone, so the phone just kept ringing, and ringing. So we tried AGAIN, and finally we were able to place our order at 11:51am. We ordered 2 large sancochos, a side of tostones and 1 order of carne guisada for a whopping total of $47 and change. Then we proceeded to wait almost 2 hours!! The guy literally just walked in and it’s 1:45pm. During our waiting time, we tried to call to find out where the food was (we have to go back to work!!!), and the woman again kept putting us on hold, letting us listen to their conversations instead of taking our call!! We called multiple times and finally she spoke with us, and proceeded to accuse us of ordering our food late – we ordered our food before 12pm and waited an hour, and they arent even that far from us!!! The food is good, but it is not good enough to spend so much money and then wait for 2 hours. Now we have cold food to eat for dinner, because we can’t eat while we work. Oh yeah, and their new business name is Cafe Kiskeya Dominican Restaurant. We’re never going to order from here again unless we want crappy service and cold, over-priced food.

Satisfies Your Cravings for Comida Dominicana. The restaurant is new, clean, and located on the Queens County side of New Hyde Park near the County line. Nothing here is prettily presented upon the steam table despite the photos posted in the to go menu. But flavor and texture are determinate as to which dishes are desirable. The baked chicken is a top selection. All the Caribbean classics are on the menu. Yes, there are pastelitos and Morir Sonado!
