El Comal – A Pupuseria & Restaurant. This Salvadoran restaurant makes fresh pupusas with several choices for your desired filling. The pupusa, a maize ‘pancake’ and Salvadoran specialty, is expertly done and is served with curtido, a slaw, which is also very fresh. You can either eat the curtido on the side or place it in the pupusa. The staff is very friendly and accommodating toward newbies to the cuisine of El Salvador. El Comal aptly translates as The Skillet.
