The food is OK and inexpensive. Some days is better than others, therefore consistency is an issue. But Sundays they have an all you can eat buffet for $12-15 that’s both a great deal and can be pretty tasty. I would not call since telephone manners is not something the staff knows anything about and it will only discourage you from eating there. The table service is also inconsistent.
Typical Spanish Caribbean Fare @ Estrella Latina. To set the record straight, this restaurant serves the home-style dishes of the Hispanic Caribbean so that everyone can feel their Cuban, Dominican and Puerto Rican vibes. The restaurant simply utilizes a yellow star paired with the word Latina to represent itself. Hence, it is called Estrella Latina. The plates are mostly typical and true to Caribbean roots. Some dishes will be more to your liking than others. The rabo, or oxtail, is stewed more tender than at many similar establishments, but is hardly prepared to fall-off-the-bone. Lambi, or conch, is on the menu here, Dominican style, finely chopped to resemble minced meat in salsa. Sea snails are not for everybody, but disguised in this method, you may find you were missing something. The food may not overwhelm you, but it brings the comfort of home to many of Estrella Latina’s aficionados.
Is okay, but some are not all that friendly and if you call to place a delivery, the people on the phone are lack of customer service skills.

Wonderful Puerto Rican Food. They have wonderful food here and worth a visit. Right at the Corona Plaza station of the 7 train. Great food. Tastes and flavors of the island. I in particular love the mofongo.
The good stuff….. I love to take out of towners to this place for a taste of authentic Puerto Rican food. This place always has a selection of the less common and harder to find home-style recipes…and not just the standard chicken beef and pork mainstay entrees that you can get anywhere. My family from Texas had never been exposed to mofongo, mondongo, sancocho, escabeche or caribean viandas…. but they loved EVERYTHING they tried in this place. The service is always friendly and attentive…. even if they speak very little english….. which only makes the experience better for out of town visitors (makes it all seem more authentic).
Ms.Nightlife. Estrella Latina is a beautiful place where you can dine at a reasonable price. The ambient is relaxing and at the same time is a place where you can enjoy a drink with great music and really great exceptionally treatment. With all the above being said I have to mention that their food is exquisite with a lot of variety.
