Oh, and Hooters Serves Food!. My brother and I have been to this location under many names starting with it’s Horn & Hardart restaurant days of the 50’s and ’60’s when we were children. The three most recent ventures are of interest because they were the original Hooters, the short-lived Bud’s Ale House, and the new Hooters. All are quite similar, except that Bud’s Ale House had forty beer taps. The tight and scanty uniforms worn by the waitresses aside, Hooters is a fairly typical American chain restaurant. Standards like chicken wings, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. My sibling and I shared the fish tacos which would have been unassailable were it not for a heavy hand with the salt. I still have to admit that they were very tasty. His main was a Shrimp Po’ Boy that he devoured with the curly fries. I had their Texas Melt Burger with onion rings which was deeply satisfying. The rings have real onion slices within the thick breading. We both had the Samuel Adams Summer Ale from the tap.
