Comida Dominicana @ Rancho Latino. Rancho Latino is a busy restaurant that serves typical Dominican fare. They do have some offerings that are difficult to locate at other typical establishments. My spouse was able to buy patitas de puerco estilo criollo (pig’s feet creole style) and bacalao con huevos revueltos (codfish with scrambled eggs). Both plates were quite good, each having been prepared in the creole style. The pig’s feet were stewed in a creole sauce that is utilized in many Dominican style protein and vegetable preparations. The bacalao was creole ranch style with olive, tomato and green pepper pieces blended in rather than a full salsa. The salt was not overwhelming to the taste buds in either case. These dishes still have a high sodium content. Additionally, pig’s feet have large fat portions. Both are once in a while treats when you crave real Latin creole food.
