After a long night walking around Queens, all I wanted was some comfort food and Salvatoria delivered it. Not the cutest looking place, but otherwise a good experience. Their traditional menu features several veggie options, including a sweet corn tamale served with sour cream (ordered as a starter) and a vegetarian pupusa platter (as a main). Opted for the spinach and bean pupusas, neither of which came with cheese inside, which I wish they did. But an accompanying tomato sauce helped round out the flavours as did the platanos (my favourite!) A side of tomato and greens salad also added the freshness the meal needed.
