Food is absolutely out of this world. Problem is that the service is interminably slow……………..leave enough time for a Ninety minute meal, or better yet, call ahead and take out. Food has same Quality, without the long wait in the Restaurant…………………..if all else fails, try a weeknight instead of a weekend.
Made a visit on a slow Thursday night. Although it appears that they are undergoing major renovations visually the place is quite attractive – high ornate ceilings, Asian furniture, etc. We were seated right away and were immediately impressed in that we don’t see a lot of white linens on tables anymore, so that was an initial good sign. I will say that the service, while attentive, was a bit on the slow side – but that seems to be the case with all restaurants when business is off. Our soups came with the meal and they were very good, especially the hot & sour one. The cold sesame noodles were not noteworthy – similar to examples available all over town. The General Tsao’s Tufu was a bit on the crunchy side, but was still pretty good – well spiced. The Mongolian Steak Flambe was excellent – the London broil slices were very tender and the sauce was spicy & sweet. Dinner was only about $40, so it was a good value. An overall positive experience – we’ll probably go again.
