I loved this place the moment I walked in the door. I grew up in Buffalo and I soon as I walked in the door, I could tell this was an old school Italian joint. Pro tip: Any restaurant that you have to walk through a bar to get to the dining area is always worth a shot. 2 of us were seated immediately just after noon on a Thursday. You could just feel the city neighborhood ambience throughout the place. From the red & white checkered vinyl table cloths to the walls adorned with portraits of Old Blue Eyes himself, this is an icon for authentic American-Italian restaurants. Stuffed shells were a special that day and since I had just eaten the same dish at Rocky’s, down the street, the day before. What a perfect time to make a comparison. My recommendation is to go to both. Both places had great pasta. The sauce at Antonettas is of the darker blood red style. Old style. Where as Rocky’s is much sweeter and bright red in color. In all honesty, it’s just a personal preference. But seriously, Antonettas is a wonderful place to eat. I am so glad I ventured to eat here. For Italian, this place is a must go to. Promise.

Not a fan. I have been several times trying to find a dish I like and I have given up. I do not eat red meat and ordered a vegetarian dish and it came with meat sauce. I tried to like the seafood bisque but it was way too salty. I tried the haddock french and it was watery and had no flavor. I am glad other people like to eat here but I just don’t

Mmmm. Always a favorite! Absolutely cannot beat the speedy service, huge portions, great flavors and low prices. Have always found the crowded dining room part of its charm. Will continue to go back again and again.

Delicious!. Tasty and cheap, but the dining room is a little tight. But the food is so good you get over that very quickly. Great for Friday lunch.
